On a whim last year, I picked up Tough Luck Hero by Maisey Yates at the local pharmacy, and I quickly fell in love with her Copper Ridge heroes. While I never thought that I would love books about cowboys, Maisey proved me wrong. Her characters, stories, and writing will just lasso you in. I’ve since then bought several of her books from the series.
And I’ve loved every single one of them.

For my Romantic Read Of The Week recommendation this week, I decided to go with a book by one of my favorite romantic comedy authors: Emma Chase.
With her Tangled series, I swear my husband was close to divorcing me. I kept laughing out loud while he was trying to sleep. It’s one of my favorite all-time romantic comedy series.
But that’s not my romantic read for the week this time. It would be Overruled from The Legal Briefs series. The series is about a group of young lawyers and their comedy of errors when it comes to falling in love. With Overruled, it’s a dual point of view story that’s bound to have you laughing in no time. Love this book and love Stanton (the hero)!

Because I’m a reader as well as an author, I’ve decided to start a weekly feature on this blog. Each Wednesday, I’ll showcase a book that I’ve read and fallen in love with. These novels will be predominantly adult romances, but I’ll also showcase Young Adult and New Adult books.
One thing you’ll notice with my weekly posts is that I won’t be reviewing the books. I might point out what I loved about them, but that’s about it. There are numerous reasons for this.
I’m a HUGE fan of Jill Shalvis’s books. In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with any of them. They are emotional reads that are filled with humor, sexy times, incredible characters, and amazing writing. Sweet Little Lies is the first of her latest series. The other books include The Trouble With Mistletoe and Accidentally on Purpose. Each story is standalone, with a hero or heroine who was a secondary character from a previous book in the series.
Have you read any of Jill Shalvis’s books?
Stay tuned for Friday when I’ll have a new giveaway happening. You can win a $50 Amazon gift card!

So it’s official! Due to the results of my recent newsletter survey, I have decided to create a FB reader group for my books. Join me in Stina’s Sweethearts for exclusive giveaways, special release news, sneak peaks, and general shenanigans! <3
For those of you who are in The Swoon Room (my reader group with another romance author), I’m still there but only as a member. I’m no longer an author admin. The direction of the group had become m/m romance, which is great but I don’t write the subgenre. Creating my own group allows me to focus on what I love: hot guys, steamy romance, and laugh out loud moments.
Last week I learned an important lesson…
That’s right! I was busy reading LEAD by Kylie Scott before I was supposed to get the kids up for school, and couldn’t put it down.
And then I hit the sex scene and I was almost doomed. I was actually tempted to let them have the day off…and earn me the Best Mother of the Year Award (unless the school was the judge).
Have you ever read a book that had you so enthralled, you almost missed out on an important event (or deadline)?
