Am I Writing More Contemporary Romances?

I love to read all kinds of romances. Romances that make me laugh. And romances that make me cry.

They’re also my favorite romances to write.

I started my publishing journey with angsty new adult books before switching to romantic comedies. I love writing rom coms because they’re fun to do, but lately, my heart has been hinting that it wants to delve back into the world of contemporary romances.

Does this mean I will no longer be writing rom coms?

Not at all.

However, I will be starting a new contemporary romance series that will take place in a small fictitious US town. The stories will require more research than my previous books, so don’t expect to see the first one until 2022. It will be part of a suspenseful trilogy. There will also be other books in the series. Each standalone romance will feature a hero or heroine introduced in the trilogy.

As for the romantic comedies, I have three scheduled to release in 2021, and then I’ll write another one in the Love Undercover world. I won’t start that one until I’ve written the trilogy (while I’m waiting for dates with my copy editor and proofreader for all the books).
